Mastery Charter School's "Promotion Day"
Nine months after Mastery Charter School took over one of the most troubled public schools in Philadelphia, its Shoemaker Campus in West Philadelphia closed out the academic year with a ceremony Thursday celebrating the school’s successful transformation and the promotion of the school’s eighth graders to ninth.
