3 people, including child, die in Easton fire

Three people, including a child, have died after an overnight fire in Easton.

An adult man and a male child died in the 1:30 a.m. blaze at an apartment in Easton, Northampton County.

The Lehigh Valley Express Times reports that officials said this morning that a woman who was severely burned in the fire has also died.

Fire Chief John Bast told the newspaper that the woman had been taken to Lehigh Valley Hospital with burns to more than 80 percent of her body.

The fire chief said there were no smoke detectors in the apartment.

The identities of those killed were not released.
