Paul Domowitch’s Report Card

Here are our grades for the Eagles' win over San Francisco:

RUSHING OFFENSE

Correll Buckhalter did an impressive job in place of injured Brian Westbrook. He rushed for 93 yards and a touchdown. Had 61 yards on 10 carries in the second half. And that doesn't include his 7-catch, 85-yard contribution as a receiver.

Grade: B-plus

PASSING OFFENSE

Relying heavily on DeSean Jackson and Correll Buckhalter, Donovan McNabb threw for 280 yards and two touchdowns. For the third time in six games, he wasn't sacked.

Grade: B-plus

RUN DEFENSE

Eagles gave up 131 rushing yards, including 101 to Frank Gore. But they shut the Niners down in the fourth quarter. Juqua Parker sniffed out the Delanie Walker reverse that put the Niners in the third-and-18 hole that set up Quintin Mikell's interception.

Grade: C-plus

PASS DEFENSE

Eagles struggled again against the tight end. But they shut the Niners' passing game down in the fourth quarter, forcing three takeaways out of J.T. O'Sullivan, including a pair of big interceptions by Quintin Mikell and Juqua Parker.

Grade: B

SPECIAL TEAMS

David Akers had four field goals, but the 54-yard attempt at the end of the first half that was blocked and returned for a TD was nearly cataclysmic. They also gave up an early 45-yard punt return to Allen Rossum that set up a score.

Grade: D-plus

OVERALL

Niners offensive coordinator Mike Martz kept Jim Johnson's defense off-balance for the better part of three quarters. But the fourth quarter was a gut-check that might have saved the season.

Grade: C-plus
