Gov. Rendell, Mayor Nutter and other elected officials have repeatedly said the Democratic presidential nominee needed to do a citywide tour before Election Day to pump up local voters.
"What we've communicated to the campaign is, look we know how to do elections," said Nutter. "If you give us the candidate and give us a decent amount of time, we'll put on something you've never seen in the United States of America."
Obama - who is leading Republican candidate John McCain in state and national polls - will stop in North Philadelphia, Holmesburg, Germantown and West Philly.
He'll likely be greeted by enthusiastic crowds in the city, where Democrats now outnumber Republicans 6 to 1.
Obama will spend tonight at two fundraisers - a cocktail hour at the Sheraton Center City Hotel and a private dinner at the home of Comcast executive David L. Cohen. Organizers expect to raise as much as $4 million.
Details of tomorrow's events:
* Progress Plaza, Broad and Jefferson streets. Doors open at 6:15 a.m.; program at 8:15 a.m.
* Mayfair Diner, Frankford and Bleigh avenues. Doors open 7:15 a.m.; program at 9:30 a.m.
* Vernon Park, Germantown Avenue between Chelten Avenue and Rittenhouse Street, 11:15 a.m.
* 52nd and Locust streets. Doors open at 11 a.m. and program begins at 1:10 p.m.
