The 40-year-old woman told authorities she left her friends at the game about halftime to return to the bus for some rest, but could not find the vehicle and asked for help from someone who appeared to be an event staffer, said Capt. John Darby of the Special Victims Unit.
The man, wearing a bright yellow vest, helped the woman find the bus, which had once been a school bus and was converted into a party bus with green paint and the Eagles logo on it.
The bus was parked in a lot in the 700 block of Pattison Avenue. The man entered with the woman, who was from out of town, and left as she fell asleep. A short time later, police said, he returned and sexually assaulted her.
Meanwhile, several people in the large party at the game had noticed their friend had been missing and went looking for her, Darby said.
By the time they arrived at the bus, the assailant had left. Capt. John Darby of the Special Victims Unit said police were notified of the assault about 4:30 p.m.
The woman was taken to Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, where she was treated.
Darby said investigators are working closely with officials from Lincoln Financial to determine whether the woman and the attacker can be seen on any surveillance video in the parking lot.
