Authorities on Wednesday seized $500,000 worth of marijuana from the Cherry Hill apartment of a man accused of shipping hundreds of pounds of marijuana into the state each month, then selling it to drug dealers in Philadelphia.
Police found about 187 pounds of marijuana in Stewart Hill's apartment in the 2100 block of Route 38, according to Jason Laughlin, a spokesman for the Camden County prosecutor's office. Authorities also found $44,000 in cash, a mini AR-15 assault weapon and two handguns in Hill's apartment.
Hill, 30, is charged with possession to distribute more than 25 pounds of marijuana and three counts of possession of a weapon. He is being held on $250,000 bail.
