Guilty plea in 'horrific' case

A former Delaware County babysitter who allegedly supplied her child-molesting ex-husband with victims - some as young as 3 months old - has agreed to plead guilty to manufacturing child porn, according to a federal court document filed yesterday.

Concetta Jackson, 45, is expected to plead guilty Tuesday to one count of manufacturing child pornography, which carries a mandatory minimum prison sentence of 15 years, said Assistant U.S. Attorney Michelle Rotella.

Jackson, who operated a babysitting service out of her former Collingdale home, was facing 30 counts of manufacturing child porn under a superceding indictment filed last month.

She has admitted to turning the supervision of female infants over to her ex-husband, John Jackey Worman, 41, of Colwyn, who had oral and vaginal sex with those infants, prosecutors said.

In February 2006, Delaware County authorities and FBI agents found 1.2 million images of child pornography on Worman's computers and hard drives - including 11,000 video clips of him sexually assaulting minors. At least 12 children, ranging from infants to teenagers, have been identified as Worman's victims.

Prosecutors say Jackson also allowed Worman to install a hidden video camera in a bathroom wall of the house they shared in exchange for rent money. Investigators have recovered hundreds of clips on Worman's computer of children undressing and showering in that bathroom over a three-year period.

Jackson's public defender could not be reached for comment yesterday.

Worman is facing 55 counts of manufacturing child pornography in what then-U.S. Attorney Patrick Meehan described last year as the "most horrific case" of child exploitation he'd ever seen.

Also charged is Dorothy Prawdzik, 44, of Drexel Hill, who is accused of positioning children in front of a video camera for Worman. She faces 15 counts of manufacturing child pornography.

"Prawdzik is seen, and in some clips is also heard, directing the children to undress and to spread their legs so that their genitals can be seen on tape," Rotella told U.S. District Judge Lawrence Stengel in a court filing. "These children, all pre-pubescent girls, were under Prawdzik's care at the time that she assisted in filming them."

Rotella said yesterday that there was no evidence that the porn was distributed or sold.

When federal charges were first filed in January 2007, Meehan said Worman had an "intimate" relationship with both Jackson and Prawdzik. The latter relationship will likely be used against Prawdzik at her trial, after Stengel agreed this week to allow the government to present testimony from one of Prawdzik's female relatives.

The relative is expected to testify that she participated in three-way sex with Prawdzik and Worman when she was 10 years old. One of Prawdzik's male relatives also will testify that Prawdzik engaged in several sexual acts with him when he was between the ages of 9 and 12.

Jury selection for Worman and Prawdzik is set for next Thursday and testimony is expected to begin Sept. 8. *
