Edward Daniels, 32, of Fletcher Street near Sedgley Avenue, has been charged with two counts of murder, robbery, burglary and related offenses in the June 27 slaying of Rian Thal and Timothy Gilmore at the Piazza at Schmidts apartment complex, 1050 N. Hancock Street, Northern Liberties.
Merchant's alleged killer charged
Nicole Dolby-Becham, 27, of Musgrave Street near Phil Ellena, Germantown, has been charged with murder, robbery and related charges in the killing of Jongyoun Kim, who was shot to death Saturday outside her store, Andy's Food Market, on Chew Avenue near Phil Ellena.
Man shot dead by cops ID'd
Police have identified the man killed by police late Tuesday in Olney as Baron Adams, 22, of Marshall Street near Spencer.
Police investigating a report of a man exposing himself found Adams outside his home at about 8:45 p.m., police said. Adams allegedly argued and scuffled with a cop and grabbed for the officer's weapon, discharging it once, police said. The officer's partner then shot Adams in the chest, police said.
Both officers were treated at Albert Einstein Medical Center for minor injuries, police Spokesman Lt. Frank Vanore said.
Skateboard theft at 'gunpoint'
Camden police arrested a 10-year-old boy and charged him with robbing an 11-year-old of his skateboard at gunpoint Tuesday at Wainwright Drive and MacArthur Avenue.
The 11-year-old victim told cops that the suspect robbed him at gunpoint, stole his skateboard and fled on foot. Police later found the 10-year-old among a group of juveniles and detained him without incident.
The 10-year-old face charges of robbery and weapons offenses, although police weren't sure if the gun was real. *
