Grandmother, toddler shot in Port Richmond

Police are investigating the double shooting of a woman and her granddaughter in an incident in Port Richmond this afternoon.

The child, believed to be about 2 years old, was shot twice in the thigh. The grandmother, believed to be 38, was shot twice in the left foot, police said. Both were taken to Temple University Hospital where police said they were in stable condition.

Authorities said the victims were "innocent bystanders," shot in 3000 block of Tulip Street, near Ann Street.

No arrests have been made.
