Traffic alerts in Bucks and Montco

Allentown and New Galena Roads in Bucks County will close today for maintenance work, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation said.

Allentown Road at Route 663 in Milford Township will be closed weekdays from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. through July 11 for bridge repair. Through traffic will be detoured over Old Bethlehem Road to Rosedale Road.

New Galena Road in New Britain Township will be closed between Route 152 and Callowhill Road for two weeks, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, to repair drainage pipes. Through traffic will be detoured over Creek Road to Callowhill Road.

In addition, there will be overnight lane closures through Wednesday on the Blue Route between the Schuylkill Expressway and Ridge Pike interchanges in West Conshohocken and Plymouth Township, Montgomery County, for shoulder and crossover construction.

Also, PennDot said, three roads in Bucks and Montgomery Counties will be restricted for road construction.

Aqua Pennsylvania will close and detour Plymouth Road between Eagle Drive and Irwins Lane in Plymouth Township, Montgomery County, on June 30 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for water main installation. Plymouth Road through traffic will be detoured over Germantown Pike and Hallowell Road.

Neshaminy High School will restrict Old Lincoln Highway between Highland Avenue and the Route 1 Connector in Middletown Township, Bucks County, today through Aug. 25 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for milling and paving.

Peco Energy Co. will restrict Bristol Pike between Bensalem Lane and Franklin Avenue in Bensalem Township, Bucks County, Thursday through July 28 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for gas main installation.    - Inquirer staff
