Phila. cops ID Kensington stabbing victims

Police this morning identified two stabbing victims found dead yesterday in a Kensington row house.

Cheryl Curran, 36, and Santos Sindo, 46, were found about 4:30 p.m. in a house on the 1900 block of East Monmouth Street, police said.

Curran, of the 2000 block of East Tioga Street, was found in a second floor bedroom with wounds to her head and throat. Sindo, who lived in the Monmouth Road house, was found downstairs, dead in his underwear with multiple injuries to his arms and thighs, police said.

Both victims appeared to have been dead for a period of time, police said.

No weapon has been recovered. Police have no motive in the double homicide and do not know how the two victims were related.
