Philadelphia Zoo closed today

A water main break has forced the Philadelphia Zoo to shut down for the day.

The Zoo, at 3400 West Girard Ave., will reopen Saturday morning at 9:30 a.m., said spokesman Bill I. Larson.

Zoo officials this morning were trying to find the location of the water main break, Larson said.
