That's not your imagination: Prices at the pump today are averaging about 10 cents a gallon more than they were last Monday, according to AAA Mid-Atlantic.
And this was an especially expensive weekend in the region, with prices rising about 5 cents just from Friday.
The five-county Philadelphia region saw the average for a gallon of no-lead go up 5 cents over the weekend to $3.72. That average is up 9 cents since last Monday.
South Jersey's average price went up 6 cents over the weekend to $3.58 - 11 cents higher than last Monday.
At the national level, the average was up 5 cents over the weekend to $3.72, marking an 11-cent increase since last Monday.
In the diesel lanes, the average price was up 5 cents over the weekend, to $4.59, in the Philadelphia region. That average is 8 cents higher than it was last Monday.
South Jersey's average for diesel was up 8 cents, to $4.31. That marks a 12-cent increase from last Monday.
The national diesel average today was $4.36, up 9 cents from Friday. That marks a 12-cent increase from last Monday.
Light, sweet crude fell 66 cents to $125.30 per barrel in premarket electronic trading on the New York Mercantile Exchange, the Associated Press reported today.
Oil prices surged nearly $10 last week, touching off concerns about rising prices and their effect on businesses and consumers.
