Two men were injured in separate shootings late Thursday, police said.

In the first incident, police are investigating what led to a 17-year-old being shot in the leg in Southwest Philadelphia.

Cops said the unidentified teen was driving on Whitby Street near 56th shortly before 10:30 p.m. when he heard the windows of his car shatter.

Cops arrived and took the victim to Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, where he was treated and released. The boy had other friends in the car with him at the time of the shooting, but no one else was injured.

Police said it appeared the boy had not been the intended target.

In the second incident, police arrived on Juniata Street near Germantown Avenue in Hunting Park at about 11 p.m. and found a 35-year-old man with a bullet wound to the back of his head. He was taken to Temple University Hospital, where he was in grave condition.

Police have no suspects and know of no motive for either shooting. *
