A 20-year-old Berks County man has been accused of indecently assaulted a female student at West-Mont Christian Academy, a private, K-12 school in Pottstown, police said today.

North Coventry Township Police said that Jonathan Cocchimiglio of Bechtelsville surrendered to authorities on Wednesday. Police said an investigation revealed that Cocchimiglio had indecent contact with the alleged victim at the academy while he was a senior there as well as when he worked part-time as a maintenence worker. Police said he also had improper contact with the alleged victim this past summer through a cellphone exchange of texted photographs.

Police said the charges against Cocchimiglio incude indecent assault, unlawful contact, corruption of minors, and solicitation of sexual abuse. Cocchimiglio was arraigned and released on unsecured bail of $50,000, police said.

Missing some details...was he an 18 year old having sex with a 16-177 year old? Consenual? Unsecured bail, must not be too strong a case. I know that can get you a Megan's law listing but geez, there are a lot of people that would apply to, if they had an active HS life. Just saying...
