Have a slice of pie at Tiny Terra Ferma's Pies for POP Benefit in Manayunk
You can have your pie and eat it too–all for a good cause!
Lend a hand in Philly's developing green movement while satiating your penchant for delectable desserts at Pies for POP–an agriculturally-minded event benefiting the Philadelphia Orchard Project (POP). Proceeds will go to maintaining 34 urban orchards in the Philly area.
This deliciously sweet celebration of Philly's growing greenery will include homemade pies made with locally-grown produce, from classic apples to smooth blueberries.
The benefit's mission is to properly educate guests on Philly's urban agriculture, as well as encourage people to develop green thumbs and cultivate produce in their own gardens.
Guests will learn crucial tips and tricks for tending to an urban garden at Tiny Terra Ferma’s garden and shop. Pies for POP will also include art installations that exhibit creatively displayed orchards that attendees can feast their eyes on. At the end of the night, guests can buy a fruit tree or other native plant and 10 percent of the night’s sales will go towards benefiting POP.
