Einstein Medical Center is known for its medical education programs in more than 40 areas, from cardiology to radiology. The hospital's Center for Clinical Competency is a training facility that boasts an array of training technologies, including laparoscopic surgery, endoscopy simulators and vascular access models. The hospital also serves as a regional trauma center as well as a source of heart and stroke care, women's health, weight loss surgery, organ transplants and neonatal care. The hospital is part of a network that includes MossRehab and is building a fourth acute care campus, Einstein Medical Center Montgomery, in East Norriton, to open in September, 2012.
