The Center City division of Cardiology Consultants of Philadelphia has moved to Jefferson from the rival University of Pennsylvania Health System, Jefferson said Thursday.

The group of 17 cardiologists, now called Cardiology Consultants of Philadelphia at Jefferson, has six office locations: 700 Cottman Ave.; 227 North Broad St.; 1809-13 W. Oregon Ave.; 1703 S. Broad St.; 1015 Chestnut St.; and 525 Jamestown Ave.

"Our new partnership with the outstanding group of heart specialists at CCP brings us closer to realizing our goal of becoming the first choice of patients and doctors in our region when it comes to cardiovascular care that is advanced and easy to access," Stephen K. Klasko, president and chief executive of Thomas Jefferson University and Jefferson Health, said in a news release.

CCP has 96 cardiologists, according to its website. Penn did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
