March can be an inconsistent month when it comes to weather.  So if you’re trying to find delicious fresh fruits and veggies that are in season this month, look no further than these 5 Superfoods.

Collard Greens:  These leafy greens in season during the winter are rich in potassium, fiber, and vitamins A and C. “Collards are unique in that they have quite a big higher calcium level than other greens,” says Gayl Canfield, Ph.D., R.D., nutrition director at the Pritikin Longevity Center. “They also have a slightly more mild flavor than bitter chard or turnip greens,” she adds.

Scallions: They have a milder flavor then their relative, the onion, and “an antioxidant found in the onion and garlic family seems to play a role in cancer prevention,” said Leo Galland, M.D.

Turnips: These root vegetables, like kale and broccoli, are rich in potassium, fiber, and vitamin C and have some antioxidant powers as well.
