About Heather Faison

Heather Faison is a digital journalist and graphics and web designer. She completed her four-part multimedia project Beyond Baby Fat as a Kiplinger Digital Media Fellow at Ohio State University.

Faison, a North Carolina native, worked for more than two years at the Philadelphia Tribune. As a digital journalist, Faison seeks to bring attention to under-represented groups through powerful visual stories.

Beyond Baby Fat examines the childhood obesity epidemic in an African-American family; obesity's link to neighborhood corner stores; and the role churches play in promoting healthy living.
