Cool Environmentalism - Saving The Earth In Style

It’s the latest way of gauging the ‘hip’ quotient of a product or service: is it environmentally friendly? There are now a dazzling array of cool green gadgets that are attractive, trend setting, timeless, unique and innovative. How to choose?

The GreenChic Living event on Tuesday October 27, 2009 at the Crystal Tea Room in Center City Philadelphia from 5-9 PM is designed to feature the best of the best. Sponsored by MAINLINE and BUCKS Life magazines there will be a vast assortment of eco-chic products for the home and body, all things that compliment your lifestyle without compromising style, function or comfort.

Philadelphia’s new sustainability czar Katherine Gajewski will be speaking about the cities plans for the future. Models will showcase bamboo and organic clothing. Eco-friendly jewelry will be made on site. Peco will explain the changing energy laws. GreenandSave guru Charlie Szoradi will let you know the latest innovations. Other highlights include reborn furniture, green electronics, solar innovations, local wine and food companies and much more. Cost is $15 in advance, $20 at the door, which includes cocktails and hors d’oeuvres. Proceeds benefit the Sustainable Business Network.

Expected attendance is approximately 500 people. The 21st century mantra is recycle, reuse, restore and reinvigorate. The goal is to change the perception about going green which will ultimately help slow the pace of climate change and the ruination of our planet.
