Our government is inept and corrupt that's why I cheat on my taxes.

Now that's Obamacare working for us in our state. They've 'already' stopped payment to 3,000 people. And those people had already gotten UC for how long? Pathetic.

And to think it only took somebody administering the program to have a brief moment of competency and action.

why don't you pass a law that increases their sentences for filing false applications for unemployment benefits?

"JNET has been around for about two decades, Egan said. Adding the unemployment compensation data-check started with a pilot program last May.
It took about a week, and maybe $5,000 worth of staff time, Egan said."

We saved $18,000,000 in taxpayer money for a lousy $5,000! Mr BigDizzle is so right. WHY should honest taxpayers pay their "fair share" when our money gets wasted on a massive scale?

JNET sounds like a name for a Jewish dating site.

How about Pennsylvanians housed in Federal Prisons located in Pennsylvania? Hope there is someone in the DOJ who can share a pertinent database to screen out their prisoners getting unemployment benefits from the state of Pennsylvania.

Cry them a river. It's called "consequences". Do the crime, take what's coming to you.

I have a proposal for our immigration policy. For any hard working immigrant we take in from another country, they must be willing to take one of the schleps. I'd rather have a hard working immigrant than these slugs who have been here for generations taking up space.

no, they can't get unemployment while they are IN jail.

A lot of law-abiding people who have never been in prison can't get jobs. What about them?

To Dr.Thora Mann, PhD. So are you in agreement with prisoners receiving unemployment benefits while serving time in prison? If so, you may have PhD after your name, but you are just plain STUPID! Unfortunately, there is no know cure for stupidity.

Dr Thora Mann, who is obviously not a real doctor, maybe you should adopt a convict and let them live with you. They are just plugging a leak. Duh!

How about arresting all the crooks at the federal reserve, for printing money out of thin air with nothing backing it up.

Are you complaining because the government is enforcing a law that states an inmate cannot collect unemployment?

They didn't cross reference Prison Inmates with Unemployment Rolls? WTF. It NEVER ends how much taxpayer money is wasted in the most mind blowing ways. Theis stuff is SO CRAZY you assume it can't be true, but the truth is ususally worse.

It's as if we can't cross reference Social Security Numbers. It is mind baffling.

Of course they can, but some political hack has better thingd to do then their job. I called the IRS last week to report fraud and possible use of my granddaughters ss# as a deduction. I was on the phone for about 45 min, put through the wringer and told to printout a couple forms and mail them in. The moron didn't ask for one bit of info, when in my mind all he had to do was ask me her # and cross reference it to find the POS thief.

so, successfully attacking & fixing the problem is "crapping the bed"?

explain the logic underlying that conclusion.

Money is better spent ending all payments rather than seeking damages. Mr. Bigdizzle, your sins will find you out. Lots of people and institutions are corrupt. Others are not. You don't have to be.

The majority of Pennsylvania’s county prisons – 51 out of 63 – already use JNET to access and cross-reference data such as criminal history, driving records, prison records and other inmate information, said Dan Egan, spokesman for the Office of Administration.

51 out of 63 county prisons already use JNET. So, 12 of them do not. Wonder if Philadelphia County uses JNET?
