Ebony and Ivory—and Longevity

Ninety-seven year-old Eleanor Sokoloff has been a presence at the Curtis Institute of Music for eight decades. She arrived as a student in 1931 and began teaching supplementary piano before she graduated in 1938. She joined the school's major piano faculty in 1959.
