what a joke Serge_Matthews
Only idiots sign up for this, total losers who have no life. Who wants to run and sweat down ugly Broad Street? Empty-headed conformists. JoshuaFrySpeed- It's a race like any other race. People who like running like to race. I don't understand how that makes someone a lifeless loser.
Two1Five - People who don't want to hang out with you in your mothers basement?

Getting in shape isn't about running with 40,000 people and a number and having your friends and family come watch you and give you flowers and praise at the end. It's about sweating on your treadmill in your basement for hours on end all year long with no glory. For a lot of folks, this is more about being a social event than anything else. masterncommander- No one runs a 10 mile race to "get in shape." If you're running a race you likely already in shape. They've already been on the treadmill all year without the glory so they can run in the race and enjoy themselves.

Another event shutting down Philadelphia's streets so 40,000 idiots can run around pretending they are Usain Bolt. How about you move this race to a track, beach or park and let the drivers use the roads once in awhile. People talk about going green? Lets take a look at the street lights and several of these events that create alot of pollution in the city. All to appease runners who can run on their own time around a track or at a gym or on a beach. Shutting down the city so people can run around the streets? Give me a break. Roads are for driving not running on. Apollo Creed
