SPIN hosted its fifth annual Partners for Possibilities Celebration on March 30 at Cescaphe Ballroom in Philadelphia. SPIN, or Special People in Northeast, works with nearly 3,500 children and adults with autism and intellectual and developmental disabilities in Greater Philadelphia and the Lehigh Valley and provides high-quality early-childhood education for children of all abilities. At the gala celebration, more than 200 guests enjoyed cocktails and hors d'oeuvres, dinner, a silent auction, and a performance by the SPIN Choir, which features singers with autism and intellectual disabilities. Honored at the gala were Michelle and Glenn Kornegay, with the Make a Difference Award; Joanne Leonard, with the Family Partner Award; and Eleanor and John O'Brien and Denise O'Rourke with the Fund-raising Partner Award. Proceeds from the event will benefit SPIN.
