Nothing against this family in any way, but this is just something to add to the "useless stuff" pile Americans have in their storage lockers or garages, which will then end up in a landfill. I mean, has parenting really become so difficult that you need a plastic strip for your kid to hang on? Not as bad as the stupid leashes that were once everywhere, but still really lame.

And yes I have children and no I never lost one.

You can add your comment to the useless stuff pile.

Inventions don't get much simpler than this. But is it too simple in a world filled with more pressing needs? Time will tell.

Innovative, simple, and very clever idea. Kids do wander and this looks like a fun way to keep everyone safe. Can't understand the hater comments here.

So nice to see this entrepreneurial spirit in a young local family supporting, not only American, but Philadelphia industry with their production. This country needs more of this positive energy and NOT the mindless comments I was surprised to read above. More power to them. When it comes to such negativism, I would prefer it if people simply voted with their dollar rather than their mouths.

The target of a product like this is parents with multiple young children. It is not about laziness or children that are disobedient. If you have ever gone shopping with a little one, then you know that they are often far too short to reach the bar on a cart comfortably and it can hurt their hands to hang on to any other part. As a mom, pushing a grocery-laden heavy cart one-handed is not that easy. In addition, kids (no matter how well behaved) are very easily distracted when they are not keeping their hands busy. This product is not about parenting; it's about your child's comfort. And yes, it is a luxury gadget, but at least a useful one.
