LOL, "The town that time forgot"....I grew up in Malvern. It used to be a "regular place", a railroad town. There was a big scrap yard in the middle of town where a park now stands. Through concerted efforts by developers, Malvern turned to yuppie town starting in the 80s. I wouldn't want to live in Malvern, so I don't. Basically, the town where I grew up was taken from regular people like me. "the town that time forgot"...good joke! I still remember.

I live in Malvern and love it. Great small town.
As for this new developement, I feel sorry for the folks whose homes are behind this monster! These new apartments and their parking garage will look right into their homes and yards. These folks will never be able to sell these homes. It just doesnt fit into what Malvern is all about. Who would rent or buy an apartment with RR tracks running behind your place all day and night. We will see how many of these storefronts and apartments actully become occupied.

Why did it take 10 years to get this building built? How much red tape did we put these developers through? No wonder our local economy isn't the greatest, when it takes this long to get a project developed. How much sunk money did these people put into the red-tape, that will be passed on to consumers?
