ATLANTA - Time wasn't the problem for Matt Ryan on Sunday. He had plenty of that.
After shredding the San Francisco 49ers for 24 points in a brilliant first half, Ryan had 30 minutes to finish the job and punch his ticket to the Super Bowl. After his two terrible turnovers helped the Niners get back into the game, Ryan had the ball and a chance to reclaim the momentum. Even after San Francisco scored to take a 28-24 lead, Ryan had 8 minutes, 23 seconds to burnish his legacy with a game-winning drive.

Just one more time he has failed in a big game.....Poor Missinelli, his love for the choker takes another hit.....Guess the media and Mikey gave him greatness (?) before it was deserved.....Guess it should be Matty, Big numbers, Big apple in his throat...(a great first half and forgetting that the game is not over there) Ryan came up small in big games and threw an interception and fumlble the ball.....this will be tough for Mikey to brother-in-law him now, but he sure will redirect and do his best to try and put the halo back on his head.... nuggett
Wonder if the coach gets fired? Nearly lost the Seattle game in which Ryan brought them back. I said after that game, I wondered if he would have been fired. Now with this loss, after the 2nd straight week of giving up big halftime lead, I'm almost sure someone is going to get it. watsonmr
The Falcons' main problem was 2d half defense. In both playoff games they had big leads in the 1st half and blew them. Ryan didn't exactly look like Joe Montana out there, but credit the Seahawks and 49ers - two of the best defenses in the NFL - for making adjustments and taking Jones and White out of their routes. Meanwhile Wilson and Kaepernick gashed their D in the second half. JBirks
That's the key word "halftime adjustments" those whom can make them win SBs: Bellichic,
Shaun Peyton, Packer coach, Mike Tomlin, Tom Coughlin Harbaugh boys, both are brilliant at it, too bad we let Jim go, and kept Reid, becuase Andy has been one of the worst
halftime adjusters ever and good luck KC fans with Doug Pederson as an Off Co, may
be worse than Marty was this year, if that is possible. mikey48
Typo meant John Harbaugh he was our special teams coach then helped Jim Johnson
with the D mikey48
