160k are sold and only 5 kids have died and the blame is laid at the door of the product? Something sounds seriously wrong here and I'll bet .gov overreaction is to blame. Hopefully the owner will win the fight, but since the .gov has endless resources to crush the average citizen I doubt she will win.

I feel for Leslie because she's being blamed for the misuse of the product and she has a point that the government should have considered other uses before approving the product.

Five babies died while in the nanny. Gudel needs to shut her trap and close shop.

...and 90 others fell out and got trapped in the straps without deadly injury. How anyone can deem this federal overreach is beyond me. It is a very light unit with no legs. Any baby that can rock can knock it over. Sorry, this isn't a "misuse" case--indeed, Leslie has promo pictures of it on a table from before the first warning was put on it. It is foreseeable that people will use it in possibly deadly situations, and it is unstable once a baby can rock it. While I am sure the oversights were not intentional, it is also correct that the company charged $129 for a device that could not have cost more than $10 (probably generous) to manufacture. Profits cannot win out over public safety, especially where infants are concerned.
