Hurricane Sandy left its mark on November gaming revenue at all 12 Atlantic City casinos. But none took a more debilitating hit than Revel, which has been burning through cash at an alarming rate and which generated just $6.2 million from gamblers last month.

This is too funny! This is something the people who comment here have foretold since articles about this place first appeared. The place's business model is completely wrong, and I love it! I don't have to hope it goes away. I can just sit back and watch it go away. .....bye! Mortimer G Fingenfinderstein III
enough of this Revel stuff, it's a disaster and a glorified nightclub, Christie is stupid SlimFox
Why beat up on the Revel? If you want to do a story about an unsucessful business model, how about the Inky? Multiple bankruptcies, overpriced union labor, declining sales. Rahjr
I'm sure Bluto from Dumbthwackit will send them another couple of huundred million of taxpayer money to hold them over until next summer. Wilhelm Von Humboldt
Well, Rahjr, you've shown your lack of understanding of business. The 2 situations couldn't be more different. Virtually all newspapers (and some magazines) are having problems, mainly due to the Internet. A whole lot of people get their news that way now, forsaking the print media. So stop whining about something about which you know NOTHING. dctwmt
Another day, another story about the misfortunes of Revel. The Baron
What's the agenda? Is this a celebration that a playground of the 1% is having financial trouble? Or is it supposed to reflect on Christie because the state threw the Revel a life preserver a few years back? Or is this a celebration that an AC casino is struggling which might divert gamblers to Philly? This unexplained obsession is ridiculous. Phillies2008WSChamps
Holy cow, how hard is this? Just lower your stupid room rates, get some buzz going, get people like me to go down (and I have a lot of money to gamble), and FILL UP THE PLACE. Nope, gotta keep an aura going around the place. Morons will close in 2 years and take a bunch of other morons down with them. Rooms for $50 a night for up to 4 nights if you spend $500 at the tables. Problem solved. LuckyDog
totally agree with PHilliesWSChamps....Suzette Parmley and this trash papers management obsession with Revel is ridiculous and totally unacceptable. Trash your own paper for bankruptcy and mismanagement by mr. Norcross (PRO smoker who hates Revel being smokefree and in ac, since philly agenda is his story) and Rendell, who want to run this trash paper like the Enquirer. Revel doesnt need your juvenile reporting Suzette. Every article has to mention no smoking...which 82% of nonsmoking public agrees with and every workplace except casinos are smokefree...get over it. Get over the Revel not having a lousy buffet like the others. Just keep it shut suzette. ericngusa7
