The second-full-year-back-from-a-major-injury theory? I hope so, but if the muscles of the injured leg visibly atrophied as has been commented, I'm not sure EB can get any explosion back.

I would settle for the guy playing a few games without having his shots blocked. Those lean in shots allow defenders to call time out. Too bad funny face icons are taboo here, lol.

I believe he can be too! The best offense threat on this team for sure! Go sixers!

If comeback player of the year means hitting a pick & pop jumper & not rebounding, then I guess he has a chance.

In basketaball, when your legs go, then your jumping goes. All of a sudden your shots come up short. Rebounding will live only in the past with Elton.

He got his retirement money, what motivation does he have to play well?

He's got some new players around him who are more impressive talents than last year and who can complement him when they are in the game.

Not to mention a coach who can motivate, commands respect and will apply common sense to the rotation. It is not easy to put up consistent numbers when you play 32 minutes one night and 15 the next.

Maybe 20 & 10 is history for Elton but I can see 15 and 10 more realistically. Dalembert isn't here so the boards are open for Brand to do his thing. We won't be needing 20 from Brand with Iguodala, Turner, Thad, Jrue, Lou Will all being scoring threats. I'm looking for 4 of the 5 starters to average double figure scoring with the Center position being the only sub-par scoring position. If they go with Brand at the 5, Thad at the 4, Iguodala 3, Turner 2 and Jrue at the PG all five should be double figure scorers, though it's a small line-up.

maybe 15 and 7, he is getting older and all these injuies made his skill possibly diminish

i think 15- 16 ppg 10 11 rpg, and 2 blocks will be what this team gets and could live with from brand
