Simon Gagne

According to many sources, Gagne waived his no-trade clause, allowing the Flyers to seriously explore trading him. A trade is expected to be completed in the coming days. It will be a bummer to see Gagne go, but if he allows the team to clear cap space and bring in a good package of cheap players and draft picks, it's something that needs to be done.

I'm just wondering where they want to trade him to. You'd think he'd have some kind of idea where he'd be headed before waiving his no-trade clause. I'm sure he doesn't want to end up with a bottom-dweller.

Now that Ilya Kovalchuk has agreed to return to the Devils, it looks like the Kings will be the most likely landing spot for Simon Gagne. Don't be surprised if Gagne nets us a goalie and former Flyer Justin Williams.
