Goldie, the Israeli-style vegan falafel shop that opened this year upstairs from the Rooster Soup Co. on Sansom Street, now sells products from the Middle East for customers to browse while waiting in line, including a sour cherry nectar that can be added to iced tea or splashed over ice with seltzer.

Tamek Sour Cherry Nectar, made in Turkey, has a bright, vibrant flavor. It's slightly tart, rather than sweet, and is featured in an iced tea Goldie serves with orange blossom water (another product available for sale), agave, and mint. It also makes a refreshing spritzer when served with seltzer and lime.

Goldie, home of the rich tehini milk shake that has become one of Philly's popular new desserts, is another Michael Solomonov-Steve Cook project. The 20-seat lunch spot opened in April just above the Rooster Soup Co., another recent CookNSolo production. Other items for sale on Goldie's grocery shelves include Shifka peppers and Soom tahini in regular and chocolate flavors.
