Balkan Express

This surprising spot off reviving South Square is a solid American luncheonette by day and a treasure trove of authentic Serbian comfort foods by night. It still has awkward edges to smooth, but the room is pleasant and owner Radovan Jacovic is an outgoing host whose passion for the home-smoked flavors of his native land are satisfyingly evident.
