The brass-button-and-pinstripe crowd has found a new hot spot in downtown Wayne where an upscale bar and dining room are swathed in clubby mahogany and a none-too-subtle golf motif. The bar is impressive and the young servers earnest, if not always plugged in. The conservative chophouse menu makes a real attempt to update some classics but needs more consistency.
Artichoke dip; grilled portobello; filet mignon with Saga blue cheese; sesame seared tuna; single-malt-glazed salmon; veal forestiere; cheesecake.
A great spirits collection focuses on high-end whiskeys and martinis in the bar, while a wine list with 40 bottles under $40 brings more value-oriented choices.
