Tuesday, Sept. 15

An evening with Chef Marcus Samuelsson, TV personality and owner of Aquavit New York, featuring a cooking demonstration, tasting, and book-signing, with a focus on Scandinavian food and culture and a menu that includes corn pancakes with chili-covered gravlax, lemon-poached venison loin, and red berry cobbler with curry sabayon. Dinner party to benefit Philabundance, featuring dishes prepared by celebrity chef Todd English, as well as local chefs Brian Wilson of Le Castagne, Douglas Rodriguez of Alma de Cuba, and Olivier de Saint Martin of Caribou Cafe. Sept. 17: Wine dinner to benefit the ALS Association Greater Philadelphia Chapter, featuring hors d'oeuvres and a three-course menu including spiked scallop with pancetta, seared duck breast over polenta, seared beef tenderloin with green peppercorn sauce, and a flourless chocolate cake, with wine pairings for each course. $150. 6:30 p.m. at Crossing Vineyards and Winery, 1853 Wrightstown Road, Washington Crossing.
