Bento bargains @ Boyd's

You can drop $1,800-plus on a designer handbag at Boyd's and $200 for a pair of lizard-skin opera gloves. But lunch on the column-fringed mezzanine, which recently changed operators, remains one of the best hidden bargains in town.

Consider this tuna bento box from Raw Cafe, a stylish annex of the sushi lounge on Sansom Street that has replaced Brasserie Perrier's cafe. For $13, the kitchen serves two pieces of pristine tuna nigiri alongside a spicy tuna roll, tuna tartare, gyoza dumplings, bacon-wrapped shrimp, two rounds of California roll, salad, and a bowl of miso soup. It was a stellar lunch, with a balcony view of the city's power couture, and it cost less than a pair of socks.
