MarketBasket: A cutting-board upgrade
The time had come to trade up to a better cutting board, as the synthetic workhorse in my kitchen had been through the dishwasher one too many times.
This handsome replacement, made of the same material used for skateboard ramps, should hold up to some serious abuse.
Made in the U.S. of compressed wood fibers, it is bonded with a resin that leaves it heat-resistant, so it can double as a trivet. In addition, it's dishwasher-safe, and is equipped with nonskid corners to hold it in place while you are slicing.
