Beer and grilled cheese: What a combo
Victory Brewing Co. and World Cafe Live teamed up to serve guests five courses of heavenly “hoppiness” and cheesy cheer on Monday.
For $45, attendees tasted six of Victory’s brews, ranging from a limited specialty smoky 6.1% Rauchbier called the Scarlet Fire to the decisively decadent Old Horizontal, an American Barleywhite that packed a punch at 10.5%.
Forget about that simple melted snack you make when Kraft singles and a few slivers of bread are the remaining soldiers in your fridge arsenal.

Danish blue with a cherry almond compote and an amaretto syrup on rye bread will surely shoot down your next late-night diner decision.
The four rounds of ammunition fired up (plus a chocolate chip cheesecake dessert) at the Victory Craft Beer and Grilled Cheese Tasting event conjure up images of belly battles won rather than defeated delicatessen.
The best damn thing since sliced bread and the end of prohibition is the genius mind that imagined this event.
And with the upcoming opening of another Victory Brewing Co. in Parkesburg, Pa., victory is indeed ours, my friends. Cheers!
