Skull Splitter Instagram Viking party

When is the last time you had the opportunity to attend a Viking party? It's been too long hasn't it?

In celebration of the Philadelphia debut of the Scotch ale, Skull Splitter, the Pub on Passyunk East (P.O.P.E) will host an Instagram Viking Party on Thursday, January 24 beginning at 7 p.m.

Named after Torfinn Hausakljuv, who served as earl of Orkney, Scotland, this brew is strong with a high ABV (8.5%) with what is described as a rich, fruity, wine-like complexity.

Attendees will be among the first to taste the beer from the tap. A costumed Viking will also be in attendance. Instagram the most outrageous photo with you and the Viking with the hashtag #skullsplitter and you'll win a pair of pint glasses and a $50 gift certificate provided by Skull Splitter.

The event will be pay-as-you go.

Skull Splitter will be available on draught at P.O.P.E. and other bars in Philly, including Jose Pistola's (263 S. 15th St.), Bridgewater's Pub (30th Street Station) and Old Eagle Tavern (175-177 Markle St.).
