Shake Shack announced this morning that not only will it open a location this summer at 3200 Chestnut St. in University City, but that it also will build a new one from the ground up in King of Prussia.

Shake Shack’s King of Prussia location is scheduled to open on Mall Boulevard in King of Prussia, on mall property. The location previously was a Wachovia Bank.

This one also will be Shake Shack’s second solar powered restaurant, with a solar panel-covered roof that will produce about 10 percent of its energy.

In keeping with Shake Shack’s mission to Stand for Something Good, both locations will be constructed with a variety of recycled and sustainable materials, and feature energy-efficient kitchen equipment and lighting. Plus, chairs and booths will be made from lumber certified by the Forest Steward, it said in a statement.

If it's where I think it is, it's a tight intersection and tight space with only right turns in and out.

No matter how "green" the building is, it's still located in a land of parking lots, traffic, smog, and congestion.

That is a sucky location for sure. Anyone know if they are as good as 5 Guys or Elevation? Geno's right up 202 from this location is expensive and bland.
