Le Bec Fin tagged with graffiti

POSTED: Monday, December 10, 2012, 4:17 PM

Is nothing safe?

Graffiti vandals have struck Le Bec Fin and the Lush Cosmetics store on the 1500 block of Walnut Street. Unlike the cretins who tag buildings at ground level, these crooks took to the rooftops.

Le Bec Fin owner Nicolas Fanucci said this happened overnight Saturday. He hoped his insurance would cover the removal.

Mayfair is a nice area. You mean Camden is where they're from

Wait until the 47% decide to break-in, rob the patrons and steal the silverware, wine and liquor. Just spreading around the wealth.

Probably some folks from the Main Line who were unhappy with the foie gras.

The resteraunts have a lot of nerve calling taggers a name. Look at the prices on the menu. Who are the real crooks again?

You've given the taggers exactly what they want.... publicity and attention.

Our cops are among the best. Sorry. Quit blaming others for your poor decisions.

This has been happening up and down the 17th st corridor and the cops do NOTHING about it. I wonder how much paint we have to be covered in before the cops take an interest in this type of vandalism. God forbid they pay attention to the city's needs. It probably hurts their commute to the suburbs.

That's prime real estate. What a great opportunity to make a statement. Maybe something along the lines of "This is how the 1% pay their Philadelphia taxes." But it's just names. No creativity behind these tags. Such a sad state for Philly's street art scene.

Hey Philly, you pay taxes for the following (very effective) service: Anti-Graffiti Task Force: (215) 686.0000. Press 1, then 1 again and leave address, phone number, name and they'll remove the graffiti no questions asked in a few days. I would wager they'd even remove this kind of graffiti if someone gave them access to the roof.
