Han Dynasty open in Cherry Hill
Michael Klein, Philly.com
Han Chiang truly has created a dynasty with his Han Dynasty restaurants, which started in Royersford and Exton before expanding to Chestnut Street in Old City, Main Street in Manayunk, and the Science Center at 3711 Market St. in University City.
South Jersey now has its taste of the signature dan dan noodles and tongue and tripe salad.
The location: Saw Mill Village (404 Route 70) in Cherry Hill, formerly a Japanese joint called Nagoya. Number is 856-428-0088.

- "best chinese food we'd ever had"... the keyword here is "we". When a Chinese restaurant has more foreigners than Chinese patrons, that tells you something. I agree, it is better than Chinese take out (I don't consider that chinese food at all). But don't criticize me if I voice my opinion on a particular restaurant, especially a former favorite of mine. If you don't like to see other people's opinions, the internet is not for you.

I've been a loyal takeout patron of the Old City location for a couple of years now, and still love it. This past weekend, though, I ordered some of my favorite dishes from the Manayunk location, and when I got them home, I couldn't believe they were from a place calling itself "Han Dynasty." The food could have come from any neighborhood Chinese restaurant. It in no way resembled what I was used to in Old City. I was very disappointed, and hope the Old City location doesn't eventually become more homogenized and bland. For now, though, whenever I crave some H.D., I'll stick only to O.C. Sir John Falstaff
