Guy Fieri's Philly trip hits TV

His visit to Sidecar Bar & Grille will be shown April 29.

Guy Fieri's production people work fast.

Fieri's February visit to Philly will yield segments for a bunch of episodes of Food Network's Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives.

The first will be April 29 at 10 p.m. when Sidecar Bar & Grille (22d and Christian Streets) gets Guy time.

Fieri will sample chef Brian Lofink's clam chowder with gnocchi and "The Appetizer Formerly Known As" (fries topped with crab imperial - and the dish gets its name because Sidecar, like every other restaurant, cannot use the name "crab fries" because Chickie's & Pete's holds the trademark on it).

Other episodes - with food from such spots as Standard Tap, in Northern Liberties; South Philadelphia Tap Room, in South Phill; Jamaican Jerk Hut, at 15th and South; Geechee Girl Rice Cafe, in Germantown; and Percy Street BBQ, at Ninth and South Streets -  are to be scheduled.
