Celebrate Thomas Jefferson's birthday with Chef Staib

Thomas Jefferson is turning 270 years old on Saturday, April 13 and to celebrate Chef Walter Staib, owner and chef of the City Tavern, will be hosting a one-night only, live performance of his show, A Taste of History, at the Kimmel Center’s Perelman Theater at 8 p.m.

Thomas Jefferson is turning 270 years old on Saturday, April 13 and to celebrate Chef Walter Staib, owner and chef of the City Tavern (138 S. 2nd St.), will host a one-night only, live performance of his show, A Taste of History, at the Kimmel Center's Perelman Theater at 8 p.m.

Learn about the quirky history of the lives of Thomas Jefferson, George and Martha Washington, Benjamin Franklin, Dolley Madison, Betsy Ross, and John Adams and about the food they ate. The performance will also include bloopers, highlights and never-before-seen footage from the TV show and humorous quips from the historic figures.

VIP tickets are $150 and include premium orchestra seating and a post-show dessert reception with Chef Staib and his Revolutionary guests. Regular tickets begin at $35. Tickets can be purchased here.
