At such great heights we convene to celebrate the start of spring with local libations that are sure to uplift your spirits. Sipping in sidewalk seating is swell, but why not up the ante at one (or all) of these rooftop bars and restaurants? Ranging in cuisine and style from the ultra-plush Nineteen (XIX) on the 19th floor of Hyatt at The Bellevue to the cozy, casual Revolution House in Old City, Philly's open air bar scene has something to offer for everyone. Nineteen (XIX) and Vango boast some of the best cityscape views around while Continental Midtown and The Corner carry classic cocktails that are sure to appease the springtime drinker in you.

Are they beds at that rooftop bar in the picture? That's strange. Sheets and pillows? People must get very toasted there and pass out.

There are better joints with rooftops hangouts, then the ones just mention . One of my favorite ones is located in the Badlands. The hottest chicks in the city hang out there. Nobody there asking me what the hell I do for a living. Just having fun in the hood.

They all sound like wonderful places to go in the summer to be safe from the flash mobs. I lost a purse to one of them last year! Of course, I can`t say more because I am white and this is Phila and anything I say will label me a racist.

I stop in these places when a professional man invites me for a Manhattan or Cosmo. That's the only way I will go there because a woman going in these places alone is always some concubine seeing one of those older successful Philly businessmen on the side. Many out of town businessmen go there to meet ladies of leisure too. I would never want to be confused with them. That is what these places are for. Trust me. I've seen it in there. High class a**.

@Ryan, If you don't like these places why bother reading the article? If you someone likes a dive, gastro, irish, or whatever place, they can go there. No one cares what type of you bar you like to go too. Article is intended for people who like these type of places!!

The bartenders at the Continental Midtown are arrogant scumbags who think they are better then the people they are serving. Bad service the few times I was there. I hate that place.

@ FunCakes - I don't know who you are and I could care less, but I think you need to learn to keep quiet when grown folks are talking. BTW, I do go to places like this and no, I do not drive an old Crown Victoria or wear knockoffs. I drive whatever brand new luxury car my Mr. Right-now is driving at the time and wear the real thing - usually, Chanel. Show some respect for someone older and more experienced about life than you and stop behaving like a silly little punk.
