Check your cheese: Kraft recalls 7,691 cases of American singles

Time to look at the label of any American cheese in your fridge: Kraft is recalling American cheese singles produced at a facility in Springfield, Mo., and shipped all over the country.

A supplier stored an ingredient at the incorrect temperature, so the brand is concerned about the possibility of premature spoilage or food-borne illness, though there haven’t been any reports of anyone falling ill from it.

The recall affects 12-, 16-, and 64-oz packages of cheese with a sell-by date of February 20 and 21 2015. For more details, check out the FDA recall alert.
