There’s no flavor quite as summery as a fresh picked peach. When you bite through the delicate skin, a bright splash of juice fills your mouth. It may drip down your chin, but you won’t mind as you dive in for another bite.
My son, CJ, discovered this last year when I took him peach picking for the first time. He was so happy every time he plucked a peach from a tree, he looked like a celebrity accepting a Golden Globe. It was so much fun we dragged home more peaches than we could possibly eat before they went bad. So we made batches of peach cobbler and shared them with our friends.
This year, I want to go beyond the classic cobbler and I’d love for you to join me. The eight recipes in this article are great inspiration all of us can use to celebrate this National Peach Month.
