KFC introduces edible chicken corsage

No, this isn’t a belated April Fool’s joke: just in time for prom season, KFC has introduced an edible corsage made of chicken.

“[Surprise] your date with a corsage that will make her eyes light up and her mouth water,” says KFC.

The fast food chain is partnering with Nanz & Kraft Florists in Louisville, Ky., to supply the corsages, which cost $20. A limited edition of 100 corsages are available, and they can be shipped nationwide.

The chicken is not included, but each corsage includes a $5 KFC gift certificate so you can “customize your corsage with Original Recipe, Extra Crispy, or Kentucky Grilled Chicken,” says Nanz & Kraft. “Whichever best matches her dress.”

The chicken rests on a delicate bed of baby’s breath and is accented with white ribbons.

“This KFC drumstick corsage is the Secret Recipe to making sure this year’s dance will be one you both remember,” Nanz & Kraft promises.

KFC doesn’t specify the appropriate time to chow down on one’s chicken corsage—in the limo? During the dance? At the afterparty?—but this video offers one hilarious possibility:
