A Natural Note

Serve salads, soups or casseroles in this statement serving piece, a basket of twigs that cradles a removable heat-and-serve bowl in white ceramic or clear Pyrex.

It's shown with polished stainless-steel salad servers with hammered and blackened handles.

Serving dish and basket, $50, and pair of salad servers, $39, at Home on Haddon, 417 N. Haddon Ave., Haddonfield, 856-470-0813.

Popcorn by the gallon

Most kettle corn can be cloying after the first sweet fistful. But the diet-killing kernels at the new Go Popcorn Co, a local branch of the Pittsburgh Popcorn Co., are another story altogether. The savory flavors (Movie Style Butter and Cheddar) are just OK. But the sweeter varieties, like Peanut Butter Cup, strike a perfect balance of confection and salty. The Brown Butter Caramel? Downright dangerous. Best to share with friends in one of the retro gallon-sized tins that will make you the party's most popular guest.
